James Smiley serves as General Manager of Flagstone across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. He leads the company’s commercial and residential operations, overseeing a growing sales organization, four installation crews, and day-to-day operations throughout the DFW market. Under his leadership, James has built a team of 7 commercial and residential sales professionals focused on delivering exceptional service and quality workmanship.
James is a third-generation contractor, as his grandfather, father, and uncles were in the business before him. For the past eight years, James has consulted with and helped grow contractor companies throughout North Texas, implementing proven revenue growth systems and operational strategies that help commercial property owners and homeowners make informed, confident decisions.
From Job Sites to Boardrooms
Long before joining Flagstone, James built a career helping companies scale.
He has helped grow multiple companies from startup to multi-million-dollar enterprises, participated in a Silicon Valley SaaS IPO, consulted executives across hundreds of organizations, and worked alongside Fortune 500 companies including AT&T, Amazon, and Facebook.
Today, he brings that same disciplined approach to every Flagstone customer—combining business precision with honest, practical guidance homeowners can trust.
Built on Family Values
While business has taken James around the country, his greatest investment has been his family.
James and his wife are raising five children in North Texas, where faith, integrity, and service guide everything they do.
Outside of Flagstone, James has served as a high school offensive coordinator in football while developing over 150 quarter backs every Sunday evening at Argyle High School. He is passionate about mentoring young athletes, developing future leaders, and serving both his church and local community.
